The MFHR training was a great confidence builder and provided a bunch of information and frameworks for supporting the people I lead through any difficult times with their mental health. Our facilitators were excellent and managed to really effectively teach us some pretty heavy content in a kind and gentle way.
I recently attended Coliberate’s Mental Health First Response Training and I must say, it was an incredibly valuable experience. The trainers were knowledgeable, empathetic, and created a safe and comfortable space for everyone to share and learn. The training itself covered a wide range of topics related to mental health, including identifying warning signs, providing support, and connecting individuals to appropriate resources. What I appreciated most was the role play approach of the training – we were given scenarios and learned how to respond in a way that was both supportive and respectful – I also enjoyed how we were encouraged to move freely around the room encouraging us to change partners in rolle playing, this really supported a conformable space. This training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective mental health support and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make a difference in their community, workspace or whanu. Thank you, Coliberate!
Attending the MHFR course was such a valuable experience – I feel better equipped to identify when a colleague, family member or loved one is facing mental health challenges and to support them to get through it. I got a lot out of MHFR training and will be actively using the framework going forward
